PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

BRC's Food Service Program provides nutritious meals to several of the agency's other housing and day treatment programs. The program also caters special events such as BRC graduations and reunions. The Food Service Program provides training and supervision for interns in the BRC Horizons Workforce Development program through a six-week Food Service Training program that assists trainees to obtain their NYC Food Handlers Certificate. Participants in this program are eligible for a Safe Serve certificate with additional training.

 

HOURS:                                            

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm

                                                           

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Delivery and pick up of supplies, meals and program food to and from Food Services.   Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen. Maintain the cleanliness of bathrooms. Keep interior and exterior of vehicle clean. Receive and store all deliveries.  Related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                      

Valid NY state driver's license required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.  Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.  Good interpersonal skills. Be a member of Fire Safety Team.
