POSITION: Program Director

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of all facets of a 165 unit adult couple shelter for men and women who are engaged in vocational training, substance abuse treatment, and/or employment with the goal of transitioning to permanent housing. This includes the recruitment and management of all staff and ensuring overall high quality clinical and vocational services to meet client needs. Responsible for management of the program budget and all reporting to the funding source. Responsible for maintaining census, quality assurance, and for ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and oversight agencies. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned. Reports to the Vice President of Family Shelter Services.


QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, but an LMSW or graduate degree in a related field is preferred; along with at least three years in a supervisory and management role. Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness in a shelter or drop-in setting preferred. . Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, conflict resolution and/or other related best practices preferred. Must have the ability to work in a high stress/ high volume environment, while maintaining open communications with the other components of treatment and operational teams. Must have very strong writing and computer skills as well as strong leadership abilities and the capacity to coordinate services in a complex organizational setting. CPR training certification or willingness to obtain certification.
