HOURS:                                              Full time, 37.5 hours per week           

                                                              Monday Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm


BRC seeks a Director responsible for overall leadership and management of the BRC Chemical Dependency Crisis Center, an innovative, State-licensed 32-bed medically supervised withdrawal and residential stabilization program. This position reports to the agency's Vice President for Treatment Services and is an integral part of the management team. Job responsibilities include overseeing the development and delivery of all on-site programming, including the use of evidence-based practices; ensuring services are delivered in a professional and clinically sound manner; outreaching to other BRC programs, hospitals and community-based organizations; ensuring utilization expectations are met; managing compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations, including all reporting and Medicaid billing requirements; and supervising staff effectively. Additionally the Director will work with the agency's Chief Medical Officer and Crisis Center Medical Director to ensure that proper medical protocols are in place and being followed. This fast-paced, community-based, outcome-driven program is co-located with other BRC programs in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Provide 24-hour on-call management and support. Emergency first aid and CPR assistance as needed. Related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have strong management skills and clinical abilities, and have a minimum of five years demonstrated program management experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, especially those with mental illness. We are seeking a team-oriented person with strength-based leadership skills and who embraces client-centered care; a flexible and creative approach to work, excellent interpersonal skills and effect problem-solving abilities are essential. Must possess a proven track record of success in meeting goals within a challenging managed care environment, including a strong background in utilization management. Ability to manage with data to show program performance required. The candidate must be a licensed professional with a graduate degree in a related field.
