PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Glass Factory Apartments consist of 45 units of supported housing for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Fully renovated in 1996, the Glass Factory is a permanent SRO housing facility funded by the NYC Human Resource Administration's HIV/AIDS Services Administration and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development. In addition to providing permanent housing for its tenants, Glass Factory offers a variety of supportive services aimed at helping clients stabilize their health, maintain their independence and build a community of support among peers. These services include case management, medication monitoring, referrals to medical facilities, health education, psychiatric management, entitlement support and money management, recreational act.

 

HOURS:                                             

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday; 8:00a - 4:30p

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Supervise support staff, collect rents, process leases and evictions, generate reports to funding sources, assist director with administrative duties.  Submit all required narrative and statistical reports, perform program administrative functions, oversight of building systems such as boiler, elevator, HVAC system and other related duties as assigned. 

 


QUALIFICATIONS:          

HS diploma or GED required.  Good reading, writing and verbal skills.  Basic computer literacy required.  Experience with homeless population and crisis intervention preferred. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
