Program Description:

BRC's Food Service Program provides nutritious meals to several of the agency's other housing and day treatment programs. The program also caters special events such as BRC graduations and reunions. The Food Service Program provides training and supervision for interns in the BRC Horizons Workforce Development program through a six-week Food Service Training program that assists trainees to obtain their NYC Food Handlers Certificate. Participants in this program are eligible for a Safe Serve certificate with additional training.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Maintain cleanliness of Kitchen including cleaning pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Assisting the cook staff when needed with the prep and serving of meals. Related duties as assigned.

 

HOURS:                                            

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

  1. Tuesday-Saturday; 10:00am-6:30pm

                                                      

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:                      

Ability to read and write English.  Experience of maintain the cleanliness of a commercial kitchen. Willingness to develop knife skills..  High School diploma or GED preferred. TB clearance required.
