PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

BRC's Chemical Dependency Crisis Center (CDCC) offers 32-beds of medically monitored and medically supervised withdrawal services in an inpatient setting for men and women. The CDCC program provides 24-hour nursing coverage, individual and group motivational counseling, didactic health and substance abuse education, therapeutic activities and institutional twelve-step programs. The medically supervised beds are new to BRC's CDCC.

 

HOURS:                                            

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:30pm

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Conducts comprehensive clinical record reviews and other internal quality reviews of charts and compliance a specific focus on Medicaid and the OASAS requirements
  • Stays abreast of funding and regulatory changes
  • Ensures, with program clinical and management staff, that clinical records meet all relevant funding and licensure requirements
  • Prepares written audit reports
  • Assists program staff in preparation for external audits and program reviews
  • Conducts Utilization management reviews as needed
  • Responds to requests for client records
  • Maintains critical file
  • Assists with audit related training
  • Performs special projects and related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

BA required in related field such as Psychology, Social Work, Sociology etc. Masters preferred. Background in charting and medical records management preferred. Computer literacy required.
