PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Chemical Dependency Crisis Center is an inpatient program providing medically monitored and medically supervised withdrawal services in an inpatient setting. The CDCC program provides 24-hour nursing coverage, individual and group motivational counseling, didactic health and substance abuse education, therapeutic activities with a very strong focus on linking individuals to on-going treatment and continuing care services. CDCC is licensed by NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and funded by Medicaid and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

 

HOURS: 

One day a week

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

New York State licensed physician board certified in internal or family medicine. Must also be board certified in addiction medicine (ABAM or ASAM) or have significant addiction medicine experience. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, be treatment team oriented and have demonstrated experience working with chemically dependent, mentally ill and homeless adults. Strength-based leadership skills, a flexible and creative approach to work and effect problem-solving abilities are essential.
