PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
BRC began operating its newest program, the Jack Ryan Residence, in August 2011. The Jack Ryan Residence, funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, is a 200-bed shelter for homeless men living with mental illness. The program provides a complete range of mental health stabilization, medication management, case management, and medical services aimed at moving residents into permanent housing. The ultimate goal of the program is to place its clients into appropriate, supportive housing within nine months.

 

HOURS:                                            

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Provide administrative support for entire program including a wide array of office management duties, such as quality assurance assistance, processing petty cash and invoices, new staff orientation and training coordination.  Inventory and purchasing of supplies.  Work alongside other program managers to design and implement program improvement, policies, procedures and other strategic planning efforts. Other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                      

High School diploma/GED required. BA/BS Preferred.  Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving; writing skills necessary.  Proficient computer literacy a must. Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information and multitask.   First Aid/CPR training certification or willingness to be trained required.
